Ilja (1979) lives in the Netherlands, he is known for his raw and sincere style of portrait photography.
His works appeared in Dutch and international quality newspapers and magazines like
Volkskrant Magazine, NRC, Het Parool, De Morgen, Esquire, Playboy and New York Times.
He has portrayed a wide array of well-known artists, actors, authors and scientists for all kinds of media.
Besides the commissioned work, he regularly initiates his own short and long-term personal projects, which are mainly studies on human behavior and vulnerability in portraiture.
